This project involved the supply and installation of Hardie panels and studwork at the Stanground Fire Station. The scope of the project included the removal of glass panels and their frames, insulation of the interior studwork, and boarding with MDF.
Hardie Panels Installation
The exterior of the fire station was refurbished using Hardie panels. These panels are known for their durability and aesthetic appeal, making them an excellent choice for this project. The installation process was carried out meticulously, ensuring a seamless fit and finish.
Studwork Installation and Insulation
The interior studwork was insulated to improve the energy efficiency of the building. Following the insulation, the studwork was boarded over with MDF. The MDF was then primed and glossed, providing a clean and polished look to the interior.

As part of the refurbishment, the existing glass panels and their frames were carefully removed. This process was carried out with utmost care to prevent any damage to the surrounding structure.
The project was successfully completed, significantly enhancing the appearance and functionality of the Stanground Fire Station. The use of Hardie panels for the exterior and the insulation and boarding of the interior studwork have greatly improved the building’s overall energy efficiency and aesthetic appeal. The careful removal of the glass panels and frames was also a critical part of the project, ensuring a smooth transition to the new exterior.
