Installation Of James Hardie Cement Cladding In Stevenage Hertfordshire
We have enhanced a block of flats in Stevenage, by removing the timber cladding, rockwool insulation and rotten battens, then installing James Hardie Cladding. We then had to replace the battens and fit counter battens witch made it possible to fit celotex between the battens. We then used a breathable felt, with will keep the rain out. We used a cement board from James Hardie which is a fire proof cladding.
We also removed all the wooden fascia, soffits, guttering and downpipes and replaced these with new full replacement uPvc fascia, soffit, Marshall Tuflex guttering and downpipes. Hardie Wall Plank Cladding and Hardie VL Plank Weatherboard these all have been tested under the EN 13501-1:2002 suite of fire tests for CE compliance, which examines material reactions in respect of:
- Direct flame applied
- Heat transmission
- Flame spread
- Smoke production
- Flaming particle emissions
