Project Description

Enhance Exteriors recently completed a comprehensive exterior renovation project in Stevenage. The property in question had deteriorated wooden fascia and soffit boards that were previously capped with UPVC. Our team removed the existing, outdated materials. We installed brand-new, high-quality UPVC fascia and soffit boards in a sleek white finish. To complement the new fascia and soffit, we also replaced the guttering and downpipes with durable, black deepflow systems.

Why Enhance Exteriors Avoids Capping Fascia and Soffits

At Enhance Exteriors, we believe in providing long-lasting, aesthetically pleasing, and maintenance-free solutions for our clients. Here’s why we opt for full replacement rather than capping:

  1. Aesthetics: Capping can often lead to an uneven and unsightly appearance, especially over time, as the original material deteriorates. Full replacement ensures a clean, uniform finish that enhances the overall curb appeal of the property.
  2. Durability: Capping simply covers up existing problems, like rot or water damage, without addressing the underlying issue. Full replacement ensures the installation of new, durable materials that can withstand the elements and last for many years.
  3. Water Damage Prevention: Capping can trap moisture between the old and new materials. This trapped moisture can lead to potential water damage. It can also cause mold growth. Full replacement eliminates this risk by providing a completely sealed and weatherproof solution.
  4. Future Maintenance: Capped fascia and soffits can need extra maintenance, like painting or sealing, to keep them looking good. Full replacement with UPVC eliminates the need for regular maintenance, saving our clients time and money.

By choosing to fully replace the fascia and soffits, we guarantee a superior product for our clients. This choice enhances the value and beauty of their homes for years to come.
