- We began by reinforcing the existing structure, supplying and fitting robust 4×2 timbers atop the roof. This provided a solid foundation for the new roofing system.
- Next, we installed 18mm Tongue and Groove (T&G) OSB decking, creating a stable and durable surface.
- Weatherproofing Excellence:
- To ensure optimal weather protection, we installed a premium EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) roofing membrane. This single-ply synthetic rubber roofing is renowned for its durability, longevity, and resistance to weathering.
- We meticulously fitted all necessary trims, guaranteeing a watertight and professional finish.
- Where required, we expertly chased flashing into the wall, further enhancing the roof’s weather resistance.
- Aesthetic Enhancements:
- We replaced the existing fascia with crisp, white UPVC fascia, instantly revitalizing the porch’s appearance.
- A prominent pole was seamlessly boxed in with white UPVC, creating a clean and unified look.
- We added battens to the underside of the roof, providing an excellent fixing point for the new soffit.
- We supplied and fitted white UPVC soffits.
- Final Touches:
- We concluded the project with a thorough clean-down, removing all debris from window sills and ledges, leaving the area pristine.
